9 May 2023 at 10:02 Agreement between LO, YS and Virke There is agreement in the wage negotiations between LO, YS and Virke. The parties agree on a result that gives a total frame of 5.2 per cent. Within this framework there is room for action for local negotiations, but this room can vary from industry to industry. – There have been constructive negotiations, and Virke is satisfied with reaching an agreement without conflict. Our aim has been to comply with the framework from the front subject, and we have managed that, says managing director Bernt Apeland in Virke. LO, for its part, believes it has gained full traction in the negotiations, which include 32,000 employees in trade and service. – We got approval for our most important demands – a wage settlement that gives increased purchasing power, and which gives even more in wage supplements for the low-paid, says deputy chairman Steinar Krogstad, who has led LO’s negotiating delegation. According to them, the result also means NOK 7.5 in salary supplements for all employees. In addition, special supplements and mechanisms have been agreed to give extra to the lowest paid. – For two years, the cost of living has increased more than the wage growth for the majority of employees. Our aim is to equalize differences between people and ensure that Norwegian workers get their share of the value creation. Then we had to go up so high, says Krogstad. (NTB)
