The Housing Lease Bonus for Emergencies: A Lifeline for Affected Families
The Ministry of Housing, Construction, and Sanitation (MVCS) has recently announced the fourteenth call for the year pertaining to the Delivery of the Housing Lease Bonus for Emergencies (BAE). This initiative is specifically designed for individuals and families adversely affected by natural disasters. Beginning July 2025 , eligible beneficiaries will receive a monthly subsidy of S/500 aimed at facilitating the rental of a safe and temporary home.

Eligibility and Process for Beneficiaries
According to Ministerial Resolution No. 167-2025-Housing published on June 30, this subsidy aims to support families affected by the heavy rains that occurred in the Ambo district , situated within the Huánuco region. The government acknowledged the crisis through Supreme Decrees No. 034-2025-PCM and No. 063-2025-PCM .
The MVCS, through its General Directorate of Programs and Projects in Housing and Urban Planning , effectively assessed the damage reported by local authorities. This approach allowed them to identify 30 potential beneficiaries entitled to the BAE for an initial period of up to two years.
The subsidy empowers affected families to lease housing within the same region while the authorities work on long-term reconstruction solutions for the devastated areas.

Necessary Documentation for the Application
Beneficiaries are primarily families located in the district and province of Ambo, whose homes have been collapsed or rendered uninhabitable due to the extreme weather conditions earlier this year. The General Directorate has meticulously validated each case through family registrations and technical forms submitted by local authorities.
To apply for the BAE, potential beneficiaries must provide specific documentation within a maximum of ten business days from the publication of the resolution, which consists of the following:
- Formal application of the bond signed by the representative of the family group.
- Sworn declaration confirming that they do not possess any other home in Huánuco.
- LEASE CONTRACT OF THE NEW PROPERTY with legalized signatures from either a public judge or public notary. If obtaining this is economically unfeasible, an affidavit stating the inability to legalize it will be accepted.
The required documents must be submitted to either the Municipality of Ambo or the Citizen Care Center of the MVCS in Huánuco, located at Jr. Progreso No. 320 .

Monitoring and Accountability
The official relationship of the 30 families selected for this program will be publicly disclosed immediately following the publication of the ministerial resolution. These updates will be communicated through various platforms, ensuring transparency within the process.
Once the Mivivienda SA fund has received and validated all necessary documentation, it will announce the date from when beneficiaries may begin collecting the bonus. They will be notified through the same web portals as well as directly via the municipality and Citizen Care Center.

Payments will be facilitated through the Nation Bank . Importantly, the period of validity for the bonus will commence upon the date of the first withdrawal made by the beneficiary. Failure to complete the necessary utilization process within the specified timeframe will result in a forfeiture of entitlement to the benefit. The MVCS is committed to monitoring compliance with established conditions, ensuring that the bonus reaches the intended recipients who genuinely require assistance.
