At 1:20 p.m., the emergency services were notified of a collision on the E18 in the Stenbjørnrød tunnel. The police state that there are probably no serious injuries. On arrival, they report that the scene of the damage is unmanageable. The damage site covers a stretch of around 250 metres. There are four cars involved in the accident. They have extensive material damage and are not drivable. – Wreckage over a large area, reports fire chief Henrik Oseberg via VIB upon arrival. Recommend alternative route There are roadworks on site and the lanes are not physically separated. There are major traffic challenges at the site. The Norwegian Road Traffic Center reports that the E18 is closed in both directions. – Queues quickly build up on the E18. We recommend motorists to drive off the E18 and find an alternative route or wait for a suitable place. Tow truck has been notified. The police worked with traffic management and are investigating the course of events. The tunnel is located between the Undrumsdal junction and the Kopstad junction on the border between Tønsberg and Horten. There are long queues on the E18 at Undrumsdal.
