None of the other students who were present were injured in the shooting, the police said. The teacher – a woman in her 30s – suffered life-threatening injuries, but her condition was somewhat improved by late afternoon. Police say the child had a handgun inside the classroom. The student has been taken into custody. – It was not a situation where someone walked around the school and shot.
