The episode happened in overtime in the match the visitors were leading 2-1. Dost, who had scored the first goal of the match, fell over and lay down. Players from both teams stood around with folded hands as he received medical treatment. After a few painful minutes came the news that Dost was conscious. He was carried out on a stretcher and raised his hand to the audience. Both teams’ supporters shouted his name. – Bas was gone for a while, but they revived him. The medics from both teams did a very good job and they deserve compliments for how quickly they intervened, said Nijmegen’s general manager Wilco van Schaik, according to NOS. Dost’s father was present at the stadium and was kept informed by van Schaik. – He was notified to the rest of the family. Fortunately, there are now positive messages that can be conveyed.
