A man died in a traffic accident on national highway 7 in Nesbyen – news Oslo and Viken – Local news, TV and radio

Relatives have been notified, according to the police. The accident is said to have been a head-on collision between a lorry and a car just south of Liodden in Nesbyen. The police received a report about the accident at Liodden between Bromma and Nesbyen at 1.35pm. Highway 7 was closed past the accident site for more than six hours. Traffic was diverted via county road 51 Golsfjellet, or E16 via Fagernes and Hønefoss. The deceased was alone in the car. There were two people in the truck, but they were not physically injured in the accident, according to Hallingdølen. Forensic technicians and the accident team from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration have investigated the accident scene. The accident occurred on a relatively straight stretch, but the cause of the accident has not been clarified. – It appears as if the passenger car has crossed into the wrong lane before the collision with the lorry, says operations manager Espen Reite in the Southeast police district to NTB on Monday evening.
