– This is a breakthrough, says police inspector Odd Skei Kostveit in the Sørøst police district to TV 2. Pensioner Ronald Ramm was found brutally murdered in his own home in Larvik in December 1995. This is what Ramm’s house looked like when the police arrived. Photo: The police The autopsy report showed that the 71-year-old had been hit in the head at least 18 times and had sustained extensive injuries. His hands were tied. The accused woman contacted the police herself after the case was discussed in the TV program “Åsted Norge” in 2022. She said that she was sitting outside the house when Ramm was killed. The police believe they cannot link the woman to the inside of the house where the violence took place. Nor can they prove that it was planned for Ramm to die from the violence. The woman is therefore not charged with complicity in murder. Although the woman has been charged in the case, she cannot be punished for this today. – The case against her is outdated as it stands now, says Kostveit.
