In the statement to the police, it appears that the man contacted Nav shortly after the son arrived in the country for family reunification. He asked about what he should do, and received, among other things, advice about applying for a school place. A week later, he is in contact with the child protection service. The man is also in contact with acquaintances to get help and childcare. He expresses that it is difficult to communicate with the son, as they speak two different languages. In the last week of July 2022, the child protection service tries to arrange a meeting so they can see the boy, but now the father no longer wants contact or help. The child protection service tries to make an unannounced visit, but cannot find the right doorbell and cannot make contact with the man.
