The priest and Labor Party politician Odd Kristian “Kian” Reme has died. He died after a short illness on Wednesday evening. He lived to be 71 years old. Reme was for several years the Labor Party’s leading politician in Stavanger and was most recently a mayoral candidate in the 2007 election. He also served eleven years on the Labor Party’s central board. Kian is also known for championing the Alexander Kielland victims’ cause. He lost his brother in the Kielland accident in 1980, and later became leader of the group of survivors and survivors.
