The health platform has discovered a new error which has led to 291 patients in Helse Møre and Romsdal being affected. Several of the patients have not been seen on waiting lists for further follow-up, they write themselves. The error was discovered on Friday 25 October, but has been around since April. – This should not happen. We regret that there has not been a good enough system to follow up the deviation. We will now conduct a review of internal processes and operating routines to see how we can avoid this happening in the future, says Siri Berg, Acting Managing Director of Helseplattforma AS. They are in the process of investigating the error in the journal solution. The monitoring system was fixed the same day. – We deeply regret that the error has affected patients who are waiting for follow-up with us. It is too early to say whether the error will have negative consequences for the individual patient, says implementation manager Henrik Erdal at Helse Møre og Romsdal. – How long have the patients been out of the system? – This error has been around since we switched on the Health platform in April, but we have now become aware of it. He says they will now go through each individual patient and make sure they get the follow-up they need. Those affected will be contacted continuously. He adds that it will take some time to contact all the patients as they will have to go through each one on the list. – This is very problematic, quite simply. I think one must be able to say that. The National Audit Office slaughtered the Health Platform The Health Platform is a new records system that has been introduced in Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal. Last week, the National Audit Office came out with a new report that condemned the introduction of the Health Platform. They believe it has reduced the efficiency of patient care and become more expensive than they thought. Auditor-General Karl Erik Schjøtt-Pedersen believed that the planning, organization and introduction of the Health Platform in Central Norway was strongly criticised.
