The police report that the remains found on Kvaløya at the end of September have been identified as Ronan Hyacinthe (52). Hyacinthe is a French citizen, and was reported missing from Mefjordvær pier in Senja this summer. The last reliable observation of the man is from 19 July. – The police are still waiting for the final autopsy report. As of now, there is nothing to indicate that anything criminal has happened, they write in the press release. On Saturday 28 September, a walker found human remains on the shore. The discovery was made on the stretch between Buvika and Brensholmen on Kvaløya in Tromsø municipality. The ID group in Tromsø has since found work to identify who this is and what is the cause of death. Last week, the police stated that they expected to finish identifying the person in question within a few days. Lifeboat Captain Buhre assisted the police in getting to the scene. The examinations of the remains are carried out at the pathology department at the University Hospital of Northern Norway in Tromsø.
