Country singer, songwriter and actor Kris Kristofferson has died, aged 88. Kristofferson had his breakthrough as a singer and songwriter already in the 1970s. He has recorded 30 albums and is known for songs such as ‘Me And Bobby McGee’, which was also recorded by Janis Joplin – as well as ‘Help Me Make Trough the Night’ and ‘Sunday Morning Coming Down’. He has also appeared in over 70 films and in 1977 received a Golden Globe for best acting performance for his role in “A Star Is Born”, where he played opposite Barbra Streisand. (NTB)
