Several Russians and Norwegians have come to Kirkenes to participate in the event, but this year this has become extra challenging for Russian activists. – Our situation has deteriorated quite significantly, and there is a clear negative trend in connection with the laws that the authorities in Russia have adopted, says “Maria”. She is an LGBTQ activist and still lives in Russia. “Maria” wishes to remain anonymous for reasons of her own safety.
