At 7pm last night, armed police went to Vangen in Haugesund. This was after witnesses called the police and stated that they had observed people who were possibly in possession of a weapon-like object. The police found no people at the scene. Later they came into contact with a man in his 20s who was in the emergency department at Haugesund Hospital. The man had gunshot wounds. Vangen is a popular outdoor area in Haugesund. No one has been arrested – We are still in a very early phase of the investigation, but what we know as of now is that there must have been a disagreement between several people in Haraldsvang in Haugesund yesterday. The people involved are in an environment, and are known to the police, Reitan. No perpetrators have been arrested following the incident.
