Concerned union representatives The Health Authority is steering towards a further shortfall of half a billion kroner in 2024. In July, it became known that Norwegian healthcare companies will spend NOK 1.3 billion on consultants in 2023. Almost half a billion has gone to the Health Platform. Trustees have expressed concern for patient safety due to the introduction of the records system. Company trustee Igor Jokic has constantly tried to get an answer from the board on how much the introduction of the Health Platform would cost, but believes he has never received concrete figures. He is not surprised by the huge costs. – We have been warning about this for a long time. We have tried to convey this, but it has fallen on deaf ears, says Jokic.
