No motive or goal was given for the threats. Passengers on the trains remained seated for a while, as a search was made for several people, according to the police. Bane Nor states that there is a complete standstill in train traffic due to safety concerns. At 20.20 the police said that they had the perpetrator under control, and that the trains would soon start running again. No dangerous objects were found. The police are working on the basis that the statement about having several hand grenades is false.
