“One Btn Bosses” – Reviews and recommendations

“One Btn Bosses” is a quirky boss rush game that gives you exactly what the name promises: bosses that can be fought and defeated with just one button. But you have to be smart. This concentration-demanding but very simple action game is neither a first-person shooter nor a souls-like adventure game, in fact the complete opposite. But it still makes my heart rate go up in exactly the same way. The common denominator of this game and more advanced games, such as “Elden Ring”, is the enormous difficulty level. STEERING AWAY: Here it is important not to hit, or to be inside the red zones when they are activated. Video: Midnight Munchies/Outersloth Increasing degree of difficulty The aim of the game is to get through each level with each boss. Not all the bosses are equally difficult, but they are there to introduce you to new mechanisms – which in the end almost become too many. At one point I growled at a virtual triangle with 11 eyes for sending both missiles, large circles and darts at me. It’s not every day. HOW IT WORKS: “One Btn Bosses” is a fairly simple, but equally demanding game. (the video is made by the production company and only in English). Watch out for obstacles You are a spaceship orbiting the bosses. When the course starts, you follow a line, which can be anything from square to round, in one direction. If you press “space” or the left mouse key, you change direction. Very, very simple. The bosses will place obstacles in your path, and the mechanisms mentioned earlier are the various forms of obstacles that eventually appear. MOCK YOU: The bosses often make fun of you during and after the match. This gives the game more character. Video: MIDNIGHT MUNCHIES/OUTERSLOTH An obstacle can be a block that gets bigger and bigger, which means that you have to stay away from that part of the road by pressing a number of times, until the block is gone. Another obstacle could be missiles that are fired from the boss in the middle, but the similarity between all the obstacles is that you will know where they are going to end up just before they are placed in the roadway. Then again, you need to be smart here. METHOD: You can choose between different methods, each of which has its advantages and disadvantages. Photo: Midnight Munchies/Outersloth You have the option of choosing specifications for your vessel. Photo: Midnight Munchies/Outersloth The interface, where you navigate along a “road” between each track, can be reminiscent of older console games on, for example, the Super Nintendo. Photo: Midnight Munchies/Outersloth Photo: Midnight Munchies/Outersloth Will frustrate you I struggled quite a bit to get through this game and it really takes practice and total focus. It took me four to five hours to complete the game’s slightly more than 50 challenging levels. It’s by no means for everyone, but still a simple game that’s easy to pick up if you want a little challenge to relax. HOW LONG CAN YOU LAST?: Eventually you can activate a roguelike mode, where the goal is to last as long as you can. Video: Midnight Munchies/Outersloth The retro graphics and good synth music create a very nostalgic atmosphere, reminding me of some game I came across in the “102 in 1” chip I bought for my Gameboy Advanced in Thailand in 2003. Raw if anyone can relate. For me, this was a fresh and unique gaming experience, which brought out great commitment and some frustration – something I consider very positive. “One Btn Bosses” is a simple game that you can have a lot of fun with on upcoming cold autumn evenings, if you like a real challenge. news reviewer Photo: Midnight Munchies/Outersloth Title: “One Btn Bosses” Developer: Midnight Munchies Publisher: Midnight Munchies/Outersloth Platform: PC Genre: Action, indie Released: August 6, 2024 Age recommendation: All Hello! I’m a YouTuber in the channels Multiguru and GRUS, where I produce gaming and entertainment content. I’ve been playing video games since I got a PlayStation from my dad for Christmas when I was two, so I was practically born with a controller in my hand. For much of my career I have played a lot of “Minecraft” and often fall hardest for other open world games. I love Elden Ring, for example.
