5 August 2022 at 17:57 Serious traffic accident – transported to hospital by air ambulance There has been a traffic accident between a car and a motorbike south of Karmøy. It appears serious, according to the police. The road is now closed, as the air ambulance lands on the scene. At 18.30, the police report that cardiopulmonary resuscitation is in progress at the scene. At 19:00 the police report that the motorbike driver has been transported to Stavanger University Hospital by air ambulance. The operations manager writes on Twitter that they have a certain overview of the course of events, but that there remains both a tactical and technical investigation before a final conclusion can be drawn. Forensic technicians from the police and the accident team of the Norwegian Road Administration have been notified and are on their way to the scene.
