24 August 2024 at 16:59 Man convicted of rape escaped from Ullevål: Four charged with assistance Four people are charged with having helped a man convicted of rape who escaped from Ullevål hospital in June, writes VG. After he was recently sentenced to 16 years in prison for aggravated rape of his own daughters, as well as threats against his ex-wife, he was in the hospital because he allegedly had health problems. The police dropped guard when the man was produced for a health check and he ran away. In mid-July, he was arrested in Sweden, extradited to Norway and remanded in custody in Oslo prison. VG has spoken to several of the accused’s defenders. Their clients plead not guilty.
