Glimt secured points slot in the Eliteserien – news Nordland

It was a windy session for those present at the Aspmyra stadium on Saturday afternoon. Bodø/Glimt took on Sarpsborg 08. Kjetil Knutsen was very satisfied with the result after the match. – It was nice, scoring six goals and keeping a clean sheet and delivering a good football match with a lot of good attacking play is fun to see, said the Glimt coach to TV 2 after the match. On Wednesday, Glimt will go out in Europe again. This time they meet Red Star at home in Belgrade, after a 2-1 win at Aspmyra last Tuesday. – It will be a completely different football match, with hopefully a little less wind, a little more heat, and a little more noise, said a satisfied Kjetil Knutsen. Focus on Belgrade – Everyone feels the excitement that something really big is approaching. From that point of view, the timing is good, and we will be very effective on Wednesday, said Jostein Gundersen to news after the match, referring to the match against Red Star which will take place in Belgrade. The centre-back says that the team tries to focus on one game at a time. – We are fully aware that what gives us such matches are good performances in the Eliteserien. We know as soon as the whistle blows that now it is Red Star and Belgrade that are in the back of our minds. We are very much looking forward to it. We are going to try and play Bodø/Glimt football and have some fun out there, concluded Gundersen, who is not particularly nervous about playing football in the heat. Goal celebration after the break After 18 minutes of play, the first score came. Glimt’s own Jostein Gundersen went after the ball with his head first, after a brilliant corner kick from teammate Sondre Sørli. Sarpsborg 08 had several usable opportunities after the first goal, but nothing that paid off. Ten minutes before the break, the home team made it 2–0. Andreas Helmersen put the ball elegantly into the goal for the Easterners. Knutsen started the second half by replacing Brunstad Fet with his namesake Sondre Auklend. The inside runner picked up a yellow card two minutes later, after bringing down Daniel Job during a potential counterattack for the visitors. Auklend continued to show off in the second half. Soon after came the third goal of the game. Brønnøyværing’s Ulrik Saltnes ran free and put the ball into the goal after a pass from Fredrik Bjørkan. The goals were not long in coming – Jens Petter Hauge lobbed the ball over the keeper and made it 4-0 to Bodø/Glimt. Kasper Høgh threw himself into the goal party. The Dane clinched Philip Zinckernagel’s post in the net masks. Høgh did not concede a goal in today’s match. It only took five minutes before the Danes increased their lead to 6–0.
