The 25-year-old made no mistakes as he cleared 5.35, 5.62, 5.72 and 5.82. With 5.82, he took the year’s best. His previous best mark this season was 5.80 from the Olympic final in Paris. With that, Guttormsen fulfills the WC requirement for next year’s championship in Tokyo. He tried his hand at the height of 5.92, where he broke the first two attempts.
