Nils Ole Oftebro and Renate Reinsve honored on the “Walk of Fame” – news Rogaland – Local news, TV and radio

– Don’t cry now, don’t cry now, said Nils Ole Oftebro when he saw the crowd surrounding the red runner in the center of Haugesund on Saturday afternoon. Since 2015, Norwegian shoemakers have been honored every year with a granite stone in their city’s own “Walk of Fame” on the first day of the Film Festival. This year it was Nils Ole Oftebro and Renate Reinsve’s turn. – I have won prizes for certain things I have done, but never like this. A kind of appreciation of everything I’ve done, said Nils Ole Oftebro, who thought that there probably weren’t that many people who had met because of the pouring rain. But people stood close together to see Oftebro. – I was just completely overwhelmed, he says. In good company with his son Med, he had his wife and clearly moved Anette Hoff. And right down the street he walked over the stone of someone he knows extra well, on his way to the unveiling of his own stone. – It is very nice that my son is just across the street, he says. – What does this mean to you? – It’s almost like asking a speed skater if he thought it was okay to win 10,000 metres. It’s nice, I think. It’s nice, Oftebro smiles. Had to make a film instead Renate Reinsve was scheduled to be in Haugesund, but due to filming and a change in shooting days, she couldn’t come anyway. She thanked via a video greeting. – I am very proud and very sorry that I could not be there today, but thank you very much, said Reisve from the big screen. Renate Reinsve was honored in Haugesund. It was in 2019 when Aksel Hennie was kidnapped to his own stag party. Nils Konrad Bua (H) is mayor and member of the committee that decides who will be honored. He thought it was time that Oftebro came into its own in the film city. – I was a little surprised that he wasn’t here already. It was about time. He has been part of film, TV and theater for as long as I have lived, says Bua. Published 17.08.2024, at 16.44
