– If Trond Giske answers yes to whether he wants a seat in the Storting, then it is also likely that he will have a majority in the representative council of the Trondheim Labor Party. That’s what political editor in Adresseavisen, Siv Sandvik, says ahead of the decisive meeting on Thursday. At the meeting at 6pm tonight, they will choose who they want in the Storting from Ap in the constituency Sør-Trøndelag. – The members must have their say and ultimately decide what this will look like for the Trondheim Labor Party. This is according to the leader of Trondheim Ap, Pål Sture Nilsen, the evening before the important meeting. He does not want to reveal anything about who wants to run for the Storting from Trondheim Ap. But much of the excitement is linked to whether Trond Giske will be one of them. – He has good chances. At the annual meeting, he was elected as deputy manager of Trøndelag Ap. After the meeting, Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre asked Trondheim Ap to put an end to the row. But the party is still divided. – There is no doubt that the Labor Party, which recently adopted a vision of being a unified party, is not a unified party in Trondheim, says Sandvik. – It is especially around the processes and the way things are done that the criticism comes from one side. While the other side, which supports Trond Giske, has an opinion that the others are bad losers who do not understand that they do not have a majority in the organisation, she adds. Political commentator in news Tone Sofie Aglen said during the annual meeting in February that it is clear that Giske has all the power in Trondheim Ap. Not decided yet Earlier this summer, the local team in Trøndelag Ap submitted their entries to the Storting nominations. But there were few local teams who submitted their proposals and even fewer who voted for Giske. – There are remarkably few local teams that have recorded Trond Giske’s name, considering how much attention he has received in the media. But things can still change until the final nominations are confirmed. The nomination battle will probably reflect this, said Aglen. Because it has still not been finally decided who will be the representatives from Trøndelag Ap in the Storting after the election next year.
