13 August 2024 at 14:11 MFA: Norwegian citizen arrested in Turkey The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) confirms that a Norwegian citizen has been arrested in Turkey. The Norwegian embassy is assisting in the matter. – The embassy in Ankara offers consular assistance in line with normal practice, writes communications adviser Mathias Rongved in an e-mail to VG. He further writes that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs cannot comment further on the matter due to confidentiality. – The Foreign Service is subject to confidentiality in consular matters. (NTB)
