They waved a Palestinian flag, and interrupted headmaster Margareth Hagen’s speech with slogans such as “Free Palestine” and “Boycott Israel”. – We hear you, said Hagen, but at the same time asked to be allowed to open the study in peace. When the protesters tried to get on stage, they were expelled from the area. Students at UiB have demonstrated several times and demanded a full academic boycott of Israel. In June, they blocked the entrance to UiB’s offices on Muséplassen in Bergen, thereby preventing employees from getting to work.
