12 August 2024 at 08:21 Woman gave birth in Sinsenkrysset Police and ambulance moved to Sinsenkrysset on Monday morning after reports of a birth in progress. The mother and the newborn have now been taken to hospital by ambulance, the police write in an update. The police were contacted at 8 o’clock to assist the ambulance with traffic management, while the birth was in progress. An hour later the child was born. – Both the road and the bus stop are now open to normal traffic, the police write at 08.56. In connection with the birth, a bus lane and a traffic lane were closed. This led to queuing in the area. The birth took place in a car at the bus stop. – We have long been assisted by an ambulance and doctors working on site. Then it takes the time it takes to do this as safely and well as possible, said operations manager Øyvind Schalla-Aasen, at 08.26. The police do not know the status of the mother or child.
