Condemns false rumors In a press release, the police say that they suspect the far-right group English Defense League to be behind it. They write that a police officer has broken his nose and a police car has been set on fire. Bottles and objects are also thrown at the police, they write. They say that the riots are linked to false information about the 17-year-old who is charged with murder and attempted murder. A false name and picture of what they claim is the murderer has been spread. The police deny this. – Some use this to engage in violence and unrest in our streets, says Goss. Information is being spread on social media that the person accused of murder is an asylum seeker who came to the country by boat, while British police confirm that the 17-year-old is from Wales. – We have already said that the person was born in Great Britain, and these rumors do not help anyone at this time, the police wrote in the press release reproduced by Sky News.
