The Norwegians did the job, got a revenge and are ready for the semi-finals in double sculls at the Olympics. – We had a better race today, we also have a rest day now before the semi-final. We will use it well, we will also come back stronger then, says Kavlie to news after the race. It was another Norwegian duo we got to see in the collection heat. It was a more aggressive boat that delivered a solid final sprint in a tight heat. – Very delicious. It was a real relief, and I feel that we rowed better than yesterday. We also have to row a little better for the semi-finals, says Helseth. Now the two have a rest day before the semi-final on Tuesday 30 July. – We get to make a race plan that we just have to give “all in”, also aiming high. And I know we can achieve that, says Helseth. Ask Jarl Tjøm (28) and Lars Martin Benske (24) made it directly to the semi-finals in lightweight double sculls rowing in what was a strong Olympic debut for the duo. They came second in their heat. The semi-final takes place on Wednesday 31 July, and the Norwegians’ heat will start at 11.14.
