There were two people in the boat. One fell into the water. The police received a report about the accident just before 10 o’clock on Sunday morning. Large forces were dispatched to the site to search for the person. The fire brigade first started a surface search. A search was then carried out with both boats and helicopters in the air. Operations manager at the police in Innlandet, Øyvind Bakken says that the person was located by crews on one of the helicopters. – A person was found in the water after some time. This person was located by air ambulance and taken ashore. The person was unfortunately confirmed dead at the scene after a short time, says operations manager Bakken. Investigating the accident It is not clear how the accident happened. – It is too early to say anything about. The police will investigate the accident and, among other things, carry out more interviews, says operations manager Bakken. Several people reported the incident. – The police now received a report before 10 o’clock that there was a person who had fallen from a boat in Osensjøen in Åmot municipality. We have no observation on the person at the moment, operations manager Øyvind Bakken told news earlier on Sunday. The fire brigade, police and ambulance were first on the scene and started a search. Subsequently, two ambulance helicopters and a police helicopter also assisted in the search. The next of kin have been notified. The police currently do not want to say anything more about the two who were in the boat. The next of kin are offered health care. Lake Osensjøen is located in the municipalities of Åmot and Trysil. The accident happened at the north end of the lake. A person is said to have fallen into the water from a boat on Lake Osensjøen in Åmot. The emergency services start a search.
