Residents nearby tell of objects that broke as a result of the explosion, writes the Jerusalem Post. The Magen David Adom ambulance service states that a 37-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman have been taken to hospital with minor injuries from shrapnel. Both were conscious. Al-Jazeera writes that white smoke can be seen rising from the area. The emergency services state that there is no fire at the site. According to Al Arabiya, the civil defense states that the explosion was probably triggered by a drone. The military, for its part, says that no intrusion into Israeli airspace has been detected, and that no alarm was therefore triggered. They are investigating the incident, writes the Jerusalem Post.
