You have to see it in a context and not detached in one tweet at a time. Lysglimt Johansen is sentenced for three cases of hate speech. The statements he has been convicted of are aimed at Jews, Arabs and Muslims, and homosexuals. They were published on various platforms in the period from 2017 to 2021. According to the prosecution, among other things, he is said to have referred to Jews as “child abusers” a number of times and called Jews an inferior group. He has also stated that Jews are behind a global conspiracy. The statements made must be assessed individually, the judgment says, but the court finds it aggravating that Lysglimt Johansen has referred to ethnic groups on platforms where he has many followers, and that the statements have the potential to spread to many more.
