The woman in her 60s who was killed at a campsite in Aremark on Tuesday evening leaves behind a mother and three children from previous relationships. – The deceased and the accused were lovers, and had been this way for some time. The deceased’s children have the experience that there was a harmonious relationship and that they got on well with each other. They are not aware that there have been previous episodes that would have indicated the tragic outcome the relationship had, says welfare lawyer Anders Frydenberg. The bereaved are followed up by the healthcare system, the police and the legal aid attorney. The police will probably question them next week. It will be sent to Kripos for further investigations. Interrogation of the accused is scheduled to take place on Thursday. A preliminary observation is also carried out. It is not yet known how the man in his 50s is responding to the murder charge. The accused has previously been convicted of several cases of violence and threats. He has also been convicted of petty theft and drug offences. Several of the conditions go back a long way. Have many unanswered questions – Of course, the bereaved have many questions about what happened that tragic evening at the campsite, but they have confidence that the police investigation will provide them with answers in due course, states the public prosecutor. The family is concerned that the police should be given peace of mind to do their job. In addition, they themselves want peace, to be able to process the shock. The camping murder in Aremark is the 26th murder case in Norway this year. On average, 29 people have been killed annually in the last ten years. So far this year, 30 people have been killed.
