A 24-year-old man has been charged with failing to provide help to someone in a helpless state for whom he had a duty to care. On 11 July 2023, the man’s son, then one and a half years old, fell out of the window from the second floor at an address in Stavanger. According to the indictment, the father failed to contact the healthcare system for supervision and assessment of the extent of the child’s injuries, despite knowing that his son had fallen as described here and thus exposed him to danger to life, body and/or health, writes the newspaper.
