28 June 2024 at 14:30 Billion contract: Buying new air defenses Defense material has today entered into a contract with Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace for the purchase of air defenses of the NASAMS type for up to NOK 4.8 billion. Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram (Sp) says this agreement ensures rapid delivery to the Norwegian Armed Forces, and contributes to increasing production capacity in the defense industry. The procurement will strengthen Norway’s defense against air attacks and replace material donated to Ukraine. The agreement also contains an option for the purchase of more air defenses at a fixed price.
