On the night of Friday, a man with serious stab wounds was found at Birkelunden in Grünerløkka. The police and AMK had received several reports of screams and banging. The person was unconscious on the ground when they arrived at the scene, but was taken to hospital shortly after. – We have been in contact with several witnesses in connection with the case at Birkelunden. Many people reported to the police and AMK initially, bangs and screams were heard, operations manager Rune Hellestrand tells news. Hellestrand reports that the person is currently being treated at the hospital. The police cannot rule out the possibility of gunshot wounds. They have interviewed witnesses at the scene. A person under questioning A person has been taken into custody after the incident. The person had information and traces on the body which made the police see fit to take him in. – The person is not a suspect in the case, but he will be questioned there, says the operations manager. As of now, the police have limited information about the sequence of events. They assume that several people have been involved in the disturbance. – If there are more people who have information about the noise in Birkelund, please contact us as soon as possible, says the operations manager.
