13 March 2024 at 12:41 Four-week-long hacker attack against Posten last autumn In autumn 2023, Posten had what they call a serious security incident. – We received alarms that there were serious things happening in our internal systems. There is an advanced threat actor inside, and it is advanced malware, says Tore Orderløkken, security director at Posten Bring AS. This was revealed at the National Security Authority’s (NSM) annual conference on Wednesday. Posten informed NSM and the Norwegian Armed Forces about the incident. The actor was in for four weeks before it was kicked out of the systems. After that, all users had to change their passwords, Orderløkken tells news. Posten does not believe that important information was leaked, and says the attack had no consequences for customers either. The case has been reported to the police, and has been transferred to the Police Security Service (PST).
