12 February 2024 at 10:30 Court blocks export of F35 parts to Israel The Dutch appeals court orders the government to block the export of F-35 parts to Israel. The government has seven days to comply with the order, says the court. A number of human rights organizations took legal action against the state last year, because they believed that the delivery of the parts contributed to a breach of international law. In the first ruling on arms exports to Israel by a court in the world since the October 7 attacks, the Dutch judges concluded that the F-35s are likely to contribute to the alleged violations of the international law of war. The US-owned F-35 parts are stored in a warehouse in the Netherlands and then sent to several countries, including Israel, via existing export agreements, writes NTB.
