2 February 2024 at 14:54 Helicopter landing pad at UNN Harstad closed for a long time An inspection of the roof at UNN Harstad on Friday has revealed significant damage and still a lot of loose material. The damage occurred during the extreme weather “Ingunn” on Thursday morning when large parts of the roof at the hospital came loose. The hospital management states that clearing will continue beyond next week, and that rectification will take a minimum of 3-4 months. The helicopter pad will therefore be closed indefinitely. In the meantime, the landing site at Stangnes will be used. It is located approximately five kilometers from the hospital in Harstad.
