Life-saving first aid was given to a man on the spot, says Frode Iversen in HRS to news. The man was on board the wreck and has now been sent to the University Hospital (UNN) in Tromsø. In a press release, HRS writes that the man ended up in the lake – and lay there for around 20 minutes. – The rescuer from RS Det Norske Veritas jumped into the sea and kept the person afloat. It was Lofotposten that first wrote about the rescue operation outside Stamsund, which was launched just before 10 o’clock on Friday. Both the lifeboat “Det Norske Veritas” and a shark had grounded. The local newspaper writes that the fishing boat “Stamsundværingen”, which came to the scene to help the two boats, also ran aground. According to Lofotposten, divers examined the hull and a tarpaulin was placed under the boat to limit the amount of water that penetrated. In addition, a box of margarine was used to seal the water ingress.
