The remnants of the heat wave in Europe are now sweeping through southern and western Norway. The warmest will be in Rogaland. – We do not think it will be quite so hot that there will be a new record in Rogaland. The July record is 34.6 degrees from Sauda in 2019, says state meteorologist Julie Solsvik Vågane. – It takes a lot for it to be beaten. But it quickly becomes temperatures above 30 degrees. Large parts of southern Norway will experience the heat. In several places it will be even warmer on Wednesday. – The warmest air masses are located south of Rogaland and along the coast. But on the coast you will get cooling from the sea, so the warmest will probably be in Ryfylke, Sauda and Etne, says Vågane. – Finally summer In Haugesund, Maren Hatlestad enjoys the fine weather with her son Pierre (3) and his friend Noa (3). – This is beautiful. Finally, it’s summer in Haugesund, says Hatlestad. She and her family had not thought that it would be proper summer weather this year, so today they are going on holiday to Turkey. – We have been waiting for the weather, so it’s a bit sad. Photo: Marthe Synnøve Johannessen – A little bluff of summer However, the heat will not last. – It is a small bluff of summer coming from the south, which lasts Tuesday and Wednesday. After that, there will be occasional rainfall again and temperatures will drop a good deal. Thus, the call from the meteorologist is clear: – Go out and enjoy the summer while we have it, she says.
