Mobasheri refers to Raymond Johansen receiving NOK 400,000 in severance pay, which news mentioned earlier on Monday. Johansen himself chose to wait to start a new job – this means that he can receive full payment of the severance pay scheme. “The severance pay scheme is already very generous, but here the question is whether it is used in line with the intention and the legislation or not,” writes Mobasheri in a proposal to the business committee in the city council. – He has got himself a new job, which it seems he could have started tomorrow. But he has chosen to take a holiday that the municipality’s residents will pay for, says Mobasheri. He emphasizes that he wishes Johansen a holiday, but that he believes it is wrong to use the severance pay scheme for this. Mobaheri is now asking the municipal attorney and the city council to assess whether Johansen’s severance pay is in line with the regulations.
