The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms on Saturday afternoon that around 80 Norwegian citizens are on board the plane which is now on its way from Cairo to Norway. On arrival, they will be received by the health service and a reception team from Ullensaker municipality. According to the Prime Minister’s office, Jonas Gahr Støre (Ap) will also be at Gardermoen to receive them. – We are happy that many Norwegian citizens have been able to get out of Gaza and are now on their way home to Norway. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to work to ensure that all Norwegian citizens who wish to get out of Gaza as quickly as possible, says Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide. On Friday, the Foreign Ministry announced that they had set up a flight with Norwegian from Cairo on Saturday 18 November. So far, 101 Norwegian citizens have made it across the border from Gaza. On Saturday, permission was given for a further 146 Norwegian citizens to leave Gaza via the Rafah border crossing to Egypt.
