Oliver Lovrenski (19) receives the Booksellers Award as the youngest ever – news Culture and entertainment

The Booksellers’ Prize is the booksellers’ own prize and is awarded to a Norwegian author for one of the year’s new books in fiction/general literature. The Booksellers Prize is awarded every year in November. The prize was awarded for the first time in 1948 under the title “Thank you for the book” prize. Sigurd Hoel was the first recipient of the award, which later received the name it has today. Previous recipients of the Booksellers Prize: Tarjei Vesaas (1967), Anne-Cath. Vestly (1986), Lars Saabye Christensen (1990 and 2001), Jostein Gaarder (1993), Anne Holt (1995), Erlend Loe (1999), Jo Nesbø (2000 and 2007) and Jørn Lier Horst (2011). Last year it was Zeshan Shakar who accepted the award.
