Freediver missing while diving at Hitra – news Trøndelag – Local news, TV and radio

– All three divers have been accounted for and are safe, says operations manager Roger Mogstad in the police. It was just before 2 p.m. that there was a report of a freediver who had gone missing while diving at Hitra. Norwegian Air Ambulance flew divers from the fire service to the scene. The lifeboat was also on its way. Mogstad in the police says that they received a message from someone in the entourage when they could not find the diver who had been reported missing. – When we receive such messages, we contact the main rescue centre. Then you press all the buttons. All three emergency services, Norwegian Air Ambulance (NLA) and Redningsskøyta sounded the alarm. The NLA was on its way with rescue divers from Trondheim, but turned around when the counter notification came. A freediver holds his breath while diving and does not have an additional air supply.
