On Saturday there was an equally powerful earthquake in the same area where more than 2,000 were killed. More than 12,000 people have been affected by this weekend’s earthquake, according to the UN. The night’s earthquake had an epicenter 28 kilometers northwest of Herat, according to the European Earthquake Center EMSC.
