2 October 2023 at 05:41 Trump says he will appear in court in a fraud case on Monday Donald Trump says he will be present in court in New York on Monday when the civil fraud case against him is heard. In a message on his own platform Truth Social, the ex-president writes that he is going to court to “fight for my name and reputation”. In the post, he also comes out harshly against Judge Arthur Engoron and New York’s Attorney General Letitia James. The latter is behind the lawsuit. Trump has already been found guilty by the judge in a ruling ahead of the main hearing. The trial will largely revolve around how much he and his co-accused must pay in compensation. According to the judge, Trump exaggerated the value of his assets by up to 3.6 billion dollars to secure loans. The Trump Organization has also been stripped of its business license in New York.
