Warns against pills At the same time, they warn against a potentially dangerous pill after the overdose death in Halden on Saturday. – We fear that these pills are in circulation and that they could be dangerous, says Kjellesvig. The pills the police warn against are small and whitish, around 9 millimeters in diameter, and are rough around the edges. The pills are not stamped, do not have a dividing line and do not come in blister packs. The police therefore assume that the pills are not legally and professionally produced. They are probably sold as Xanax. – There is information from witnesses who say that it has been sold as Xanax. But there is nothing that verifies it as of now, as it has not been analysed, says police attorney Kjellesvig. Kjellesvig in the police emphasizes that it is not known what kind of active substance the pills contain. – We have not received a response to tests that can tell which active substance the pills contain. We still want to warn as we consider the danger potential to be there. More people have visited the hospital – In recent days, more patients have come to the hospital due to suspicion of possible ingestion of, among other things, Xanax (Alprozolam), based on information provided, Sykehuset Østfold told news. The samples have not yet been analysed. – Samples have been analyzed in the hospital, and several samples have been sent for forensic analysis in Oslo. We cannot say when the samples have been analyzed. The hospital has also seen an increasing incidence of poisonings. – In the last week, we have seen an increase in the number of patients with serious poisoning. But it is too early to conclude that this is a growing trend. On Saturday, a man was found dead in an apartment in Halden. Two other people were found unconscious in the same apartment, and were taken to hospital. On Monday, the police told news that the people who were taken to hospital should be out of danger.
