The prominent politician Bjørn Inge Mo is dead. He fell asleep on Sunday night at home in Kåfjord. This is confirmed by Troms and Finnmark county municipalities on Sunday. Mo had a long career in politics and was the leader of the Troms Labor Party from 2005 to 2014, and a Sami parliamentary representative from 2017. Mo was mayor of Kåfjord municipality from 2003 to 2015. – It was with shock that we received the sad news of Bjørn Inge Mos’ death. Troms and Finnmark have lost a prominent political leader, one who always volunteered to bring a case for the county and the region, and who always had time to meet everyone who asked for his time. This is what county mayor Tarjei Jensen Bech, county council deputy Ronald Wærnes and leader of Troms Labor Party, Nils Ole Foshaug say in a joint statement.
