13 September 2023 at 21:09 BT: Terje Søviknes (Frp) becomes mayor of Bjørnafjorden Terje Søviknes (Frp) becomes the new mayor of Bjørnafjorden municipality. It is clear after the FRP and the Conservative Party have entered into an agreement of intent on cooperation with the municipality. The municipality reports this in a press release, writes Bergens Tidende. Marie EL Bruarøy (H) will be deputy mayor. Terje Søviknes is FrP’s 2nd deputy leader and former minister. He has been Minister for the Elderly and Public Health and Minister for Oil and Energy. Søviknes has also been mayor of Os municipality from 1999 to 2016 and from 2018 to 2019. (NTB)
