With 97.2 percent of the votes counted at At 02.00, 2,575,814 votes had been cast in this year’s municipal elections. According to the Norwegian Electoral Directorate, this amounted to an expected turnout of 62.2. Worth noting is that around 49 percent of all votes were cast as advance votes, which is a new record. Not since 1983 has the turnout at municipal level been over 70 per cent (72.1).
